Logo design
Concepts drawn for your business and shown on real applications, like the sign, the card and the website header, not floating on a white page.
Logo & brand identity design
A logo has to work on a business card, a truck, a storefront and a phone screen. Since 1998 Gravitait Design has drawn marks for wine cellars, dermatologists, dive shops, junk haulers, capital firms, county safety programs and a children’s charity, each one built for the business rather than a trend.
Marks for businesses, nonprofits and public programs
Every mark here started with the same questions: who has to recognise it, where will it appear most, and what should it say about the business before anyone reads a word. The answers produce very different logos for a wine cellar, a records-management company and a children’s program.

A sub-brand for Sweet Minerals
Sweet Minerals sells mineral cosmetics through a network of consultants. When they launched a subscription program, it needed a name and a mark of its own that still sat comfortably inside the parent brand. Glam Club took the Sweet Minerals wordmark and gave the program a bolder, lash-and-pink personality.

A rebrand built on a tagline
A brand identity is more than a logo. Adams Express began as a nineteenth-century delivery company and became a closed-end fund in 1929. By 2007 its heritage story was no longer doing enough for investors. The rebrand kept the firm’s belief in value investing and tied it to its audience’s long investment horizon, summed up in the line “Generation after generation, we grow with you”, then carried that idea through photography, covers and a series of annual reports.

The complete file package, plus stationery and guidelines if they are part of the project.
A standalone logo typically runs three to five weeks from kickoff to final files. A full identity system with stationery and brand guidelines usually takes six to ten weeks.
The things people ask before starting a project like this.
Every logo is quoted as a fixed project fee once the scope is clear: how many concepts you want to see, whether you need a full identity system with stationery and guidelines, and which file formats you need. A single mark for a small business is a very different project from a multi-brand system, so you get the number before any work starts.
Yes. Some businesses need a new mark; many just need the one they have redrawn, simplified or given a proper system around it. We will tell you honestly which one you need, because a refresh keeps the recognition you have already paid for.
Yes. You own the final artwork outright, and the files are organised so any printer, sign shop or web developer can use them without calling us first.
No. The studio is in Hanover, Maryland, and plenty of clients are nearby, but logo projects run just as well by email, shared proofs and phone for clients anywhere in the country.
Tell us a little about the business and where the logo needs to work. You will get a reply within one business day and a fixed quote after a short call.
